BURNLEY | |
![]() The Burnley London Supporters' Club was founded in 1976 by a small number of fans on their way back from a match at Norwich City. The Club has always been an autonomous body, being founded before the formation of the main Supporters' Club in Burnley. The Club has always enjoyed a good relationship with Burnley Football Club. The current membership total stands at around 250. Membership is divided into three categories: Adults, Concessions and Overseas - membership fees are currently £17 for Adults, £12 Concessions and £20 Overseas. The Club aims to organise group travel to Turf Moor for most home games. The Club also aims to run trips to away fixtures outside of the Network SouthEast region and all football supporters are welcome to travel with us, please contact the Travel Officer for further information (details can be found on our website). The Club has a thriving social side with Quiz and Darts Teams, aswell as organising social events such as trips to sporting events and the theatre. The Annual General Meeting of the Supporters' Club is held during July at the Sekforde Arms, off Clerkenwell Green, which is also the home venue for darts and quiz matches. The AGM is a very well supported event attended by our Hon President Peter Pike - former MP for Burnley - plus members from all parts of the country. Our magazine "Something to Write Home About" contains a mixture of match reports, travel information, club news and members' articles. We produce six issues a year. We support the Club regularly through sponsorship and other events and we support the Clarets Trust. Check out the London Clarets website.
