MANSFIELD TOWN

Stags Outside Notts was formed in the 1984/5 season when a group of exiled Stags' supporters met up at an FA Youth Cup-tie at Watford.

Membership grew steadily mainly thanks to the efforts of chairman Bernard savage. Our affiliation to APFSCIL began in 1990/1 when we were invited to join by the London Owls following a third round FA Cup-tie against Sheffield Wednesday.

The club has organised regular social functions over the years including away match travel and weekend trips to some of the Third Division's more exotic locations! The highlight of our social calendar has always been the annual pub-crawl when on the third Saturday every July we visit all eight London pubs called 'The Stag'!

The football club has benefited from our activities mainly in the form of kit sponsorship from the successful fanzine 'Size 10 1/2 Boots', which was published for a number of years. APFSCIL representative Steve Murray's company has usually sponsored the home first round League Cup-tie.

We have been proud to be associated with APFSCIL for the past 10 years and wish every success to the organisation at its 25th anniversary dinner.

New members are always welcome and should contact Steve Murray
