We would like to hear of suitable recommendations for drinking establishments. If you know of friendly pubs where visiting fans are made welcome on matchdays, then we would like to hear from you. Details should be sent to the webmaster.

Useful Links

  • If you're stuck for somewhere to watch the game on SKY then your first port of call should be Sportspubs. This is an excellent website detailing pubs where you can watch football or other sports while enjoying a beer or two.
  • Another good site is www.pubs.com, an independent guide to London's best traditional and historic pubs.
  • To say nothing of fancyapint? and Beer In The Evening.

Blackburn Rovers

Blackburn Rovers London Branch meet at The Navigation. The nearest station is Mill Hill. Turn left out of station, past the Spar and the pub is on the right hand side on the bank of the canal. You will usually find them in the Games Room (entrance through right hand door).

Coventry City

The Malt Shovel, Church Rd, Ryton on Dunsmore, Coventry CV8 3ET provides a big welcome to away supporters travelling by train (pick up by minibus from Coventry Station possible) or coach (by appointment). Food and draught beers available. Ring Mick Humphrey on 01203 301518 for further details and directions to the pub – it's off the A45 to Coventry, opposite the High Street for Ryton Village. It's not a massive pub, but it's very friendly and Mick is a superb host!

Sheffield Wednesday

The London Owls regularly meet at the Rose and Crown, 21 Stour Lane, Wisewood, Sheffield, South Yorkshire S6 4BN. From the ground go up Leppings Lane, across Middlewood Road, up Wadsley Lane, turn right at the Wadsley Jack, then first left. A taxi from Sheffield Station will cost about £6-£7 or alternatively you can get the Supertram to Hillsborough but be prepared for a good old hike up the hill. Tetley and Stones bitter is served and an excellent selection of food is available from the menu. All APFSCIL members will be made more than welcome.
